Vases and Bowls That Finish a Room

A vase is one of the simplest ways to refresh a room. Add seasonal flowers and the whole space feels new. Even empty, a sculptural vase works as a piece of art.

Choosing a Vase

  • Tall vases – suit branches, pampas grass and long stems.
  • Bud vases – hold single stems on bedsides and windowsills.
  • Round vases – suit loose, full bouquets.
  • Sculptural vases – shapes like our Clam and Feather designs stand alone.

Decorative Bowls

Bowls are surprisingly useful. Use one on a console table to catch keys. Fill another with fruit on the kitchen island. A large bowl on a coffee table can hold candles or pine cones.

Styling in Groups

Group vases in odd numbers, such as three or five. Vary the heights and shapes. Keep one colour or material linking them together. Place the tallest piece at the back or to one side.

Flowers and Foliage

Fresh flowers last longer if you trim stems at an angle and change the water every two days. Dried flowers and grasses need no care. They work well in sculptural vases all year round.

Where to Display

Try a large vase on a sideboard or dining table. Smaller pieces suit bookcase shelves. A row of bud vases looks lovely along a windowsill.

Mix vases with sculptures and candle holders for a layered look. See all home accessories.

Vases & Bowls: Frequently Asked Questions

Are your vases watertight?

Check each product description. Some decorative vases are for dried flowers only and are not designed to hold water.

How do I style vases on a shelf?

Group them in odd numbers, vary heights and shapes, and link them with one shared colour or material.

How can I make fresh flowers last longer?

Trim stems at an angle, remove leaves below the waterline and change the water every two days.

Can I use a vase without flowers?

Yes. Sculptural vases look great on their own as decorative objects.
